The Golden Peacock Award jury headed by Rt. Hon’ble Joe Clark, former Prime Minister of Canada along with other members such as Dr. Ola Ullsten, Former Prime Minister of Sweden, Dr. Olivier Giscard d’Estaing, Founder and Managing Director INSEAD has selected Barclays PLC as the winner of the Golden Peacock Global Award for Corporate Governance for 2006.The award was received by Mr. Matthew Barrett, Group Chairman Barclays on behalf of the Barclays PLC at the 7th International Conference on Corporate Governance in London from on 12th May 2006.
