IOD India Golden Peacock Awards 2012

The Institute of Directors (IOD) India hosted the annual Golden Peacock Awards in recognition of excellence in corporate governance and sustainability on Thursday 11th October at the Marylebone Cricket Club Lord's Ground in London during the London Global Convention 2012. The awards were presented by The Rt Hon. Eric Pickles MP, Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Ola Ullsten, Form Prime Minister of Sweden and Lt. Gen J S Ahluwalia PVSM (retd.), President of The Institute of Directors India. Special Golden Peacock Awards for Leadership were presented to The Rt Hon Baroness Verma Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Energy & Climate Change and Analjit Singh, Founder & Chairman of Max India Ltd and Non-Executive Chairman of Vodafone India. The keynote speaker at the event was Professor Mervyn E King SC, Chairman of the King Committee on Corporate Governance, South Africa.
